The Storm Prediction Center has placed middle Tennessee under a Moderate Risk for severe storms for late this afternoon into this evening.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 9 PM CST
THIS EVENING...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

STRONG SOUTH WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH WILL
OCCUR TODAY AND TONIGHT AHEAD OF A STRONG COLD FRONT THAT WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION.

DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON A SQUALL LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
IS EXPECTED TO ENTER WESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND MOVE EASTWARD DURING
THE EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE DAMAGING STRAIGHT
LINE WINDS...ALTHOUGH ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE. LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL IS ALSO POSSIBLE WHICH COULD CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN LOW
LYING AREAS.
