How long has Better Water Inc. been in business?

Better Water has been in business for over 37 years.
It is a family owned business.

What markets in water treatment does Better Water serve?

We serve the residential, medical, commercial, industrial, as well as deionization markets.

What is water filtration?

Water filtration is any device or system that is designed to remove or reduce certain contaminants / constituents that are present in water and exceed acceptable levels.

Water filtration provides water with a quality (determined by consumer) to meet different requirements starting with raw city water then filtered to utility grade then to drinking grade and so on.

What types of water filtration are available?

Depending on the desired quality of water there is an array of equipment such as: Water softeners, UV sterilizers, Reverse Osmosis units, Iron filters, Neutralizers, Dealkalizers, sulfur and manganese removal systems, Sand traps, Sediment filters, Carbon filters, Chlorine injection systems, and ultrafiltration.

Does a traditional water softener add salt to the finished water?

Yes, but a very small amount. One slice of white bread is equal to the amount of salt added to soft water for an entire household’s water consumption for one day. If you are on a salt restricted diet, you can use potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride to regenerate your water softener. You may wish to purchase an under the sink RO unit. This will remove the salt from the drinking water,

The water makes my skin feel soft and I don’t have to add anything to my dishwasher any longer to make my dishes come out clean.

Our well water used to smell horrible due to sulfur in the water. I was embarrassed for visitors to come to our hose because it smelled like rotten eggs. After Better Water INC installed our sulfur filtration system, my house does not smell and my water smells and tastes great!
