Late afternoon Update
Tornado Watches have been hatched away as the line of storms approaches the Mississippi River. A new watch is possible if the line begins to strengthen...but the general trend has been for the line to weaken as it has rolled east this afternoon.
Radar at late afternoon:
Accordingly, the Storm Prediction Center has removed the "Moderate Risk" category from the current Severe Weather Outlook. However a slight risk of severe storms remains.
And a squall line will roll through the Nashville area tonight around midnight. Timing from The National Weather Service has not changed since this morning.
With it...expect storms...some still possibly severe...with heavy rain, strong winds...and although the emphasis on tornadoes has been taken down a notch...a brief spin up is still possible.
Late afternoon temperatures ranged from the lower 40's across NW Arkansas to lower 80s ahead of the front.
Behind the front...temperatures will drop into the 50's here. Friday's highs will only make it in to the upper 50's.
